DESCRIPTION:Maharashtra state is worst hit by COVID 19 pandemic which has seen huge human casualties and a mass exodus of migrant labourers leading to an economic meltdown. 
Most vulnerable sections of society have lost their basic livelihood opportunities especially the migrant labourers from Mumbai and adjoining districts of Thane, Raigad and Palghar. 
Thousands of families have been pushed into hunger and poverty. COVID 19 crisis is adding another level of difficulty into the lives of people with infectious diseases such as leprosy, TB and HIV-AIDS.  Children and adults are being deprived of essential medical treatment that saves lives.
ALERT-INDIA teams are on the field with all possible help to protect people from this crisis.
